Sears National Kids Cancer Ride: Rochelle Rides Across Canada

Rochelle Davidson: wife, mom to two rambunctious rescue dogs, obsessed cyclist, not-so-bendy yogi, adventure traveler, cancer survivor. We had the honour of interviewing Rochelle about her story, and her upcoming ride with Ride2Survive, as well as one across Canada with the Sears National Kids Cancer Ride.

Ride2Survive: Kelowna to Delta

Sears National Kids Cancer Ride Rochelle's Ride2Survive trek will start in Kelowna and end in Delta, BC, taking place all in one day. Bikers will travel up to Kelowna on the Friday before on a bus. A Friday evening dinner brings all the riders and crew members together to take the time to learn from everyone what inspires them to be a part of the ride. This ride consists of waking up at 230am, having a quick breakfast, and leaving Kelowna at 330am with 120 riders, and reaching Delta, BC as the finish point the very same evening. Sears National Kids Cancer Ride

Ride with Rochelle across Canada! Expected to raise $15 thousand for children's cancer, the Sears National Kids Cancer Ride takes 130 riders from coast-to-coast in 18 days, starting in Vancouver, BC and ending off in Halifax, Nova Scotia. As one of the biggest and most ambitious charity cycling events on behalf of childhood cancer in the world, this year marks the 10th annual ride. The ride starts on the west coast on September 6 and ends on the east coast on September 23, 2017. Funds raised will be directed to both national initiatives in support of childhood oncology programs and local and community programs through pediatric oncology hospitals and centres across the country. The event is conducted by the Coast to Coast Against Cancer Foundation comprised of mainly volunteers in partnership with title sponsor Sears Canada and other generous sponsors who collectively work to keep administration and promotion expenses to a minimal to ensure that 100% of the money raised goes directly to fund research and support programs for kids cancer in each and every one of the pediatric oncology centres across Canada. Sign up for Sears National Kids Cancer Ride here.
